I'm Rhys — a sports therapist working out of Tamworth and across Leicestershire. Sports massage, soft-tissue work and structured rehab — at your home, your gym or your sports club. No clinic queue, no waiting list.
Most people who come to me are dealing with one of three things: pain that won't shift, a sport they want to push harder at, or an injury they don't want again. The work is the same shape — assess, treat, give you something to do between sessions.
Deep tissue, soft tissue release, trigger-point work. Best for runners, cyclists and anyone with chronic tightness.
Structured programme for recovery from a specific injury. Strength, mobility, return-to-sport — the bits a GP referral skips.
Race-week prep and same-day recovery for marathons, ultras, cycling sportives and team match days.
One-off assessment to find what's holding your gait, swing or lift back. You leave with a written report and three things to work on.
The clinic queue is a fortnight long. I'm not that. I bring a treatment couch, the kit and a session plan to wherever's easiest for you. Most weeks I'm covering Leicester, Tamworth, Coalville, Hinckley, Polesworth and out into south Derbyshire.
First session is half conversation, half hands-on. Old injuries, training load, what you've already tried — it all matters. Then a movement screen to see what your body is doing on the day.
Soft tissue, deep tissue, joint mobilisation, taping — whichever set of tools is right for the issue. The job is shifting symptoms and making clear what's driving them.
Two or three exercises to do between sessions. Not a 40-move PDF you'll never open — three things, three minutes, that move the needle.
Six months of nagging back pain that the physio couldn't shift, sorted in three sessions. Rhys actually explained what was happening rather than just kneading the bit that hurt.
Quickest way is a message — tell me what's going on, where you are, and a couple of times that work. I'll come back the same day if I can.
